MOSCOW, Idaho — Police found an inmate who had escaped while on the University of Idaho’s campus on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a WSU alert, 34-year-old Wayland Savage walked away from the U of I campus on August 13 around 4:30 p.m. while working as part of a prison-staffed cleaning crew.
Moscow Police, along with Pullman Police and Whitman County Regional SWAT searched the campus near Theophilus Tower into the evening.
Around 8:30 p.m., police located and arrested Savage.
Savage was originally serving time for burglary and grand theft charges.
