SPOKANE, Wash. – A new inpatient behavioral health unit is in the works for MultiCare Deaconess Hospital thanks to a $6 million grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce.
The new unit is expected to have at least 20 beds available for inpatient care.
According to MultiCare, it has seen an increase in suicidal ideation at the Deaconess emergency department.
Right now, MultiCare said it is still in the early stages of building this center. There is currently no projected opening date for the new unit.
