GRANT COUNTY, Wash. —

Level 2 evacuations (Get Set) have been issued for the area near 10000 Road 4 Northeast for the flooding caused by a nearby canal break. Grant County Sheriff’s Office said people in the area should be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.
Water is being diverted from the canal to Moses Lake and Potholes Reservoir.
August 5, 10 p.m.
An irrigation canal break caused flooding on roadways near Moses Lake on Monday evening, according to Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 10 p.m. on August 5, GCSO said an irrigation canal broke between Road 5 and Road O Northeast.
Shortly afterwards, water flooded the roadway near Road N Northeast and Cherokee Road, about a 10 minutes drive east of downtown Moses Lake and 10 minutes north of I-90.
GCSO said the water is spreading southwest toward Road N Northeast and Road 4 Northeast and could possibly flood parts of Wheeler Road.
Drivers should use caution on the roads.
