OROVILLE, Wash. – UPDATE, August 3, 2024 3:36 p.m.
Evacuations have been reduced for a wildfire burning near Sunset Ridge Road in Oroville.
According to Okanogan County Emergency Management, all evacuations have been reduced to Level 1 (Be Ready) for the area near Sunset Ridge Road.
The fire is 100% lined but still active.
Officials said the fire is around 160 acres. Helicopters and ground personnel are still working on the fire.
People should be aware of their surroundings and be ready to take action if needed.

Immediate evacuations have been issued for the area of Sunset Ridge Road in Oroville due to a wildfire.
Okanogan County Emergency Management said a fire is rapidly moving east and north along Crest Drive, 9 Mile Road and Point Drive.
People in the area should leave immediately. If you’re unable to leave, shelter in place.
Be aware of emergency vehicles responding to the fire if you are trying to evacuate.
