SPOKANE, WA – The intersection of Highway 195 and 16th. Ave. in west Spokane is open but it comes with traffic revisions.
The intersection on the west side of Highway 195 closed in May. The project was part of a plan to handle traffic from a new housing development being built nearby.
There are now two traffic islands to guide drivers.
To help traffic flow, drivers on the west side of 16th can no longer turn north onto the highway. They will have to turn south and use the Thorpe Road J-Turn to go north.
Drivers in the north bound lane are still able to turn left onto 16th Ave.
