SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A man was arrested on July 26 for assault and attempting to break into an apartment, according to the Spokane Valley Police Department (SVPD).
At approximately 5:46 p.m., SVPD responded to a man assaulting people and trying to kick in an apartment door near Parkside at Mirabeau.
When they arrived, officers identified the suspect as 20-year-old Garret S. Meyers-Morse.
SVPD said they also spoke to an adult male victim who intervened when Meyers-Morse began assaulting a female victim. Meyers-Morse punched the male victim several times before fleeing the area.
According to SVPD, Meyers-Morse returned, assaulted additional people, and damaged a car with a large knife before fleeing again.
Meyers-Morse was eventually taken into custody an hour later after returning to the area again.
SVPD transported Meyers-Morse to the Spokane County Jail.
According to SVPD, a large knife was recovered at the scene.
Charges for Meyers-Morse include two counts of first-degree burglary, six counts of malicious mischief, and three counts of fourth-degree assault.
