OTIS ORCHARDS, Wash. — A man drowned in the Spokane River on Friday afternoon, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 1:40 p.m. on July 19, emergency agencies received reports of a possible drowning near Star Road and East River Road.
According to SCSO, bystanders were administering CPR to the victim before a medical team arrived.
Responding agencies were unable resuscitate the victim and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner will release the cause of death at a later date.
