SPOKANE, Wash. — The mini-mart/car wash at the Conoco gas station was lit on fire early Friday morning.
Spokane firefighters responded to S. Regal Street and 44th Avenue for reported smoke coming out of the location’s attic.
Firefighters said the fire was located in between an exterior brick wall veneer and an interior wall.
An arson investigator says arson is suspected and security footage showed two people lighting the fire around 2:30 a.m. That footage will be released at a later time.
Investigators are also looking to see if this incident is related to another recent arson at the Ace Hardware across the street.
Damage to the mini-mart/car wash is estimated to be $150,000.
