Rial Moulton brings a diversity of experience to his estate and financial planning practice. In addition to training as a Certified Financial Planner professional, he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Registered Financial Consultant, and an Estate Planning Attorney. He has extensive experience in the field of income taxes, and after law school, earned a Master’s Degree in Taxation. Also, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants named Mr. Moulton a Personal Financial Specialist due to his extensive training and experience in estate and financial planning.

Rial specializes in the concerns of clients ages 55 and older who are either in retirement or are planning for retirement. He is well-versed in all of the critical aspects of retirement – wealth management, taxes, estate, long-term care planning, and providing legacies for loved ones. As the founder of the firm of Moulton Law Offices, for 25 years he has helped families make the best choices for their retirement, grow and preserve assets, save on taxes, and then be able to pass their wealth as inexpensively and efficiently as possible to the next generation.

Mr. Moulton began his legal career with Winston & Cashatt in Spokane, handling tax and estate planning areas for the firm. His legal work for a public company in the retail/wholesale business resulted in a position as Chief Financial Officer with the company, which in turn provided Mr. Moulton the opportunity to found a similar business in Canada. After its profitable sale, Mr. Moulton returned to the practice of estate and financial planning in Spokane. Mr. Moulton is licensed to practice in Washington and Idaho and is a member of the American, Washington State, and the Spokane Bar Association, as well as Spokane Estate Planning Council, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and Wealth Counsel.

Recognized as an outstanding speaker, for over 14 years Mr. Moulton hosted his own radio show called Your Estate Matters on KXLY radio. He has appeared on CNBC Squawk Box as a guest expert for their Financial Advisors Network. Rial has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, AARP, Investment News, AOL Daily Finance, Market Watch, msnmoney.com and Medical Economics. He also regularly presents seminars to public and private groups.

Mr. Moulton’s Juris Doctor is from the Seattle University School of Law, where he was elected to the Law Review. He also holds a Master’s degree in Taxation, awarded summa cum laude by Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and a Bachelor’s in Accounting, awarded cum laude by the University of Washington.

Mr. Moulton is married and lives in Spokane. His interests include golf, sailing, tennis and skiing as well as Gonzaga University Basketball.
